This game is almost hippyish and naive in its execution... On top of just odd spelling and english that hardly makes sense or things said that are so out of place along with this game being shorter than an hour as the only challenge you face is the objects in the world as enemies cant kill you and your friendly soldiers dont often shoot back i cant give this more than a 5\/10... Its just poorly done... AI that doesnt function, AI that doesnt fight each other, you die from running into people or walls, AI you have to force to walk into mine fields making it a meme... Id love to play this if it was longer, had the ability to shoot and the AI on BOTH SIDES were a threat to everything around... The graphics, atmosphere and all that jazz is great, the sound and tracer lighting is great. The actual gameplay which is what matters, does not. Even on sale I cannot reccomend this.... good concept. Hardly playable. Wow, all I can think of is Doss Desmond (The medic who saved over 75 people in ww2 without killing anyone) and hacksaw ridge. Great game, first time where I can actually care for my teammates.. A good idea that is disappointingly let down by shallow execution and lazy design choices.I've wanted to play as a combat medic for some time, so I was excited to find that not only does such a game exist, but is currently on sale for just $3.00. Given the concept and the sad piano music that plays over the title screen, Save One More presents itself as far more than what it is: a shallow arcade game. A bunch of faceless lego men charge forward. When they get injured, you click on them, and they come back to life and continue charging forward. You win when all of the surviving lego men reach the end of the level.I found it hard to even enjoy it for the game it is. The AI is non-existent, charging headfirst into enemies and landmines. Enemy soldiers walk pre-determined paths, and your friendlies are injured if they happen to bump into them. They don't even shoot at each other. When you're mashing left-click to heal a pile of injured troops, if one of them turns out to be a fallen enemy, it'll bump into and immediately re-injure the troops you just healed. The biggest killer is that there is no humanity to these lego men, and it kind of ruins any satisfaction that you're actually accomplishing anything as a medic. There's no indication of any pain, just BOOP and they tip over. The lifesaving process consists of a single click that instantly restores them to perfect condition, at which point they stand up and continue on their merry way. Shouldn't there be more to it than that? Shouldn't we have some kind of basic medical system that requires us to spend a little time on an injured soldier, or carrying them to safety? Shouldn't there be some dialog, some screams of pain, to make us feel for the little guys? I know at this point I'm describing a different game, but that's what Save One More seems like it wants to be.
